Skylar Grey’s Buried Sessions
It’s been awhile since I’ve listened to or shared any material from Skylar Grey, but over the weekend, she posted a couple of recordings from a set she titled “The Buried Sessions of Skylar Grey”. For those that doubt the beauty of her voice and her songwriting ability due to her mainstream hip hop collaborations, here’s proof for you otherwise. The talented musician has been in the scene for a very long time, writing some of the most popular music of the past few years, collaborating with the likes of Fort Minor (Linkin Park), Eminem, Lupe, you name it. Her early work was under the name Holly Brook. Now she’s finally getting the limelight she deserves. Here’s the Buried Sessions versions of Coming Home Pt II and Words. Her voice is crystal clear and the songs are so pretty.
